Your Smiles
Your Smiles
Your smiles touched
The innermost core of my being
It made me contemplate
What were those pains for?
What were those tears about?
What were those fears and doubt?
If I could create a rainbow
And let you go up and down all day
I would let you waddle in the pool
And wade and swim up to your heart’s content
Or go on an island hopping
And see all the wonders of creation
And fill your psyches with joy…
If I could only carve smiles
To your face just for one day
And erase all those sorrows
That have been embedded in your system
I would gladly do it
Just to see your smiles and let you feel
How magnificent life could be…
Note: This poem is dedicated to my students...The very reason for my existence...They are all like sons and daughters to me...
